Scheme
Last updated: 29 July 2026
Scheme is built to keep your data on your device.
Nothing. Scheme has no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, and no advertising. We do not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. The only network requests Scheme makes are to Apple services (Apple Weather forecasts and App Store purchases) — never to any server of ours.
Your selected theme, app list, widget appearance, and other preferences are stored locally on your device (in an app group shared between Scheme and its Home Screen widgets). They never leave your device.
If you enable the Calendar or Reminders widgets, Scheme requests read-only access to your device's Calendar and/or Reminders (via Apple's EventKit framework) so it can display your upcoming events or due items in the widget. This data is read on-device only and is never transmitted anywhere. You can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security.
The optional Weather widget uses your device's location solely to fetch a local forecast from Apple Weather for display. Location data is used on-device for this purpose only and is never stored or transmitted to any server operated by us.
When you save a generated wallpaper, Scheme uses add-only access to your photo library to write that single image. It cannot read, browse, or modify your existing photos.
Scheme Pro purchases (the yearly subscription and the one-time Lifetime unlock) are processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We never receive or store your payment details. Your purchase state is verified locally on-device using Apple's transaction system.
Scheme is not directed at children under 13, and does not collect personal information from any user, regardless of age.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted in the app and at vfreitas.com/scheme/privacy with a revised date.
